Stress Management, Anxiety Reduction and Confidence Building in Driver Training

Neurodiversity Training for ADIs

What is Neurodiversity and why is it important?
Neurodiversity means everyone. All of us.

How we think and how we then act on those thoughts.

It is estimated that 1 in 7 people, more than 15% of the UK population, is neurodiverse.

These people have brains that can work differently from neurotypical brains.

Those who are neurodivergent may be autistic, dyslexic, dyspraxic or have ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) amongst other diagnoses.

Wouldn’t it be a great world, if everybody were inclusive? How would you feel, knowing that you were able to effectively support Neurodiverse individuals in all situations?

How empowered would you be, to have the knowledge and confidence to not only support, but also enable Neurodiverse individuals to thrive using strategies that have been proven to work, person-centric and respectful, not just using old data extracted from textbooks.

- Empowerment
- Knowledge
- Confidence

This is the reason why Tracey has undertaken additional training to become a Training partner for Thrive, a leading training provider of Neurodiversity awareness training.   All Thrive Neurodiversity in the Workplace training programmes have independent CPD accreditation.  This means they’re professionally designed to achieve the right learning outcomes and means you're receiving accredited training and learning to boost your professional experience.

ADIs can choose between two online training options:

Neurodiversity Aware - 1-hour online webinar, a basic introduction to Neurodiversity. This webinar can be arranged for groups of 8 or more people at dates and times that suit you.  The cost is £27 per person.  View All Courses for ADIs/PDIs to see any planned dates.

Neurodiversity Champion - full-day online workshop to explore Neurodiversity in more detail. The training was originally created to introduce Neurodiversity Awareness into the workplace. For ADIs, this relates to working in the car with a student learning to drive. Wherever the environment, the learning outcomes of these courses remain the same, and Tracey will use driving-related examples throughout to help you apply the content to your working situation.  View All Courses for ADIs/PDIs to see any planned dates.

In December 2023 Confident Drivers was incredibly proud to become the first UK driving related company to achieve Tourette's Friendly status alongside several ADIs who we knew were supporting neurodiverse individuals.
